GENEVA – The Geneva Park District is planning many fun-filled activities to keep everyone entertained and engaged this summer.
The Peck Farm Park House will celebrate 150 years with a free anniversary party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 29 at Peck Farm Park. Explore the history gallery and interpretive center inside the Peck House and enjoy kids’ activities and sheep-herding demonstrations.
Peck Farm also is offering a number of programs for children and adults. The new Summer Nights Program invites families to hike, play games and roast marshmallows around a campfire from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 11, July 16 and Aug. 13.
Families can create unique airplane designs at the paper airplane workshop from 10 to 11 a.m. June 15. Moon Watch programs are scheduled from 8 to 9 p.m. June 15 and July 17. Enjoy learning about the science of ice cream while making your own treats from 7 to 8 p.m. June 26 and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 12.
Children ages 2 to 4 can learn about Little Stinkers (skunks) from 10 to 10:45 a.m. June 27, while children ages 3 to 5 can help release ladybugs into the prairie during Ladybug Launches from 10 to 11 a.m. June 13 and 9 to 10 a.m. June 15. Children ages 6 and 7 can Get a Load of Toads from 1 to 2 p.m. June 14.

The Geneva Park District is hosting a dodgeball tournament for third- through eighth-graders from 9 a.m. to noon June 21 at Wheeler Park. The cost is $23 per person. The deadline for registration is June 14. Participants must register based on their grade level for the 2018-19 school year.
The 3-on-3 basketball competition for boys and girls ages 10 and up will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 on Third Street in downtown Geneva. Team rosters are limited to five players, players cannot play on more than one team, and teams will be placed in the category of their oldest player. The deadline for registration is June 19.
