Jane Klingberg, Vivian Santos-Buch and Brad Knechtges were re-elected as trustees, while Michelle Damadeo was elected as a new trustee. The board will be seeking one additional resident of the library district for an appointment to service. New officers were elected by the board for a full year, and are:

The Board of Trustees is composed of seven members serving four year terms. Key functions of the board include advocacy, governance, stewardship to the facility, fiscal responsibility, financial security and oversight, according to a news release from the library. The library director reports to the board and works with representatives on topics of planning, finance, policy and facility needs.

Board members serve with no compensation and regularly donate time and attention to serve the needs of residents, according to the news release.

“Our board members have a heart of service, are regular library users, and bring terrific ideas to the table,” stated Shannon Halikias, library director, in the news release. “We work together very well with a relationship built on respect, collaboration, and the understanding of roles that helps strengthen our library.”
