St. Charles East sophomore strikes out nine in 1-0, eight-inning loss to Huntley
EAST PEORIA – Katie Arrambide came a long way from a cold, windy day in April.
She knew it, too.
Arrambide, St. Charles East's sophomore pitcher, texted her pitching coach Saturday morning in advance of a rematch with Huntley.
"I said 'They smacked me when they played us first time, what am I going to do?'" Arrambide said. "She goes, 'Remember the conversation about being a smart pitcher and calling pitches' and I said 'you're right.' I think I've grown so much in the last month."
