July sees residents head out into the warm summer sun with all manner of outdoor activities. For those looking for a cool retreat from the heat, Town & Country Public Library is the perfect choice.

Offering dozens of programs each month, a huge selection of great materials, and a complimentary coffee bar, the Library is the ideal indoor spot this July. Check out some of the Library’s excellent upcoming programs below!

Flower-lovers won’t want to miss the opportunity to craft a fun, summery flower crown on Tuesday, July 9 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Florist Peggy Garvin facilitates these monthly flower arranging classes with new and lovely projects at each session. Due to high demand, a Town & Country Public Library card is required for these classes and registration costs $10 per person. All flower materials will be provided, but please bring your own pruning scissors/shears.

Local author, historian, and genealogist Adam D. Gibbons will present on his quest to research and publish work about fascinating local histories on Sunday, July 14 from 2 – 4 p.m. Specifically, Gibbons will focus on the history of Campton Township, a rich subject about which he has published two books. Genealogist, writers, and history enthusiasts will find this program both interesting and inspiring. Registration requested, but drop-ins are welcome.

All are welcome to come and meet new Town & Country Public Library Director, Emily Hoffman on Thursday, July 18 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. or later in the day from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Prior to her hiring at Library Director, Emily brought exciting new ideas, initiatives, and materials to the role of Youth Services Manager. As Director, Emily brings that same passion for excellent community service to the Library’s highest post. Stop by, share your vision for the Library with Emily, and enjoy some complimentary treats!

Patrons are invited to experience Star Wars like never before with the thrilling “Hidden Star Wars” film class on Monday, July 22 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Hear inside jokes, secret references, and mind-blowing trivia about one of the most treasured film series in the galaxy!
