Man loses $330 to sexual blackmail scheme

Man told to send money or sex video would be shared

BLACKBERRY TOWNSHIP – A resident of the 1S000 block of East Mill Creek Circle reported he was out $330 after a woman blackmailed him after he sent her a video of his genitalia, according to Kane County Sheriff’s reports.

The resident said he was contacted through Facebook Messenger and received a Skype video of a woman taking her shirt off and exposing her breasts, reports stated.

So he responded with his own video that included his face and his penis, reports stated, reports stated.

After his video was compete, he received messages on Skype stating that he needed to send money through Western Union or the video would be sent to his family and friends over Facebook, reports stated.

The first amount he sent was $130. But he continued to get messages asking for more money, so he sent $200 more through PayPal to an address in the Philippines, reports stated.

The resident said he continued to get messages asking for more money or the pictures of himself will be exposed via social media, reports stated.

The resident said he was deleting both his Facebook and Skype accounts so she will no longer be able to contact him. He reported the incident to police so it would be documented, reports stated.
