Batavia police seek public's help in locating missing man

Missing man considered endangered because of his medical condition

Byron A. Vaughan, 53, of the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia, is missing and considered endangered because of his medical condition and the length of time he has been missing. His family reported him missing July 18, but the last time they saw him was June 10. Anyone having knowledge or information of Vaughan’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Batavia Police Investigations Division at 630-454-2500.

BATAVIA – Batavia Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man who is considered endangered because of his medical condition and the length of time he has been missing, officials announced in a news release.

The missing man is Byron A. Vaughan, 53, of the 1200 block of East Wilson Street. Vaughan is a black male, 6-foot-1, weighs 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

His family reported him missing July 18, but they had not seen him since June 10 after he was released from a Chicago area medical facility, the release stated.

Numerous leads have been generated but Vaughan’s whereabouts are still unknown. No foul play is suspected, but Vaughan does have several medical conditions that require him to take prescription medication.

Vaughan was entered into the Law Enforcement Agency Database System as Missing / Endangered due to his medical conditions and the length of time he has been missing.

The Batavia police are seeking assistance from the public in locating Vaughan. Anyone having knowledge or information of Vaughan’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Batavia Police Investigations Division at 630-454-2500.
