The annual event attracts nearly 300 golfers throughout the Chicagoland area to raise needed funding for the Court Appointed Special Advocate organization in Kane County that serves over 500 children each year, the release stated.
CASA Kane County is honoring Mike West, vice president of sales for the food, specialty and club businesses at The Hershey Company, as honorary chairman of this year’s Golf for a Child Invitational, the release stated.
West’s ongoing support over the years has benefited thousands of youth in care during a tumultuous time in their lives.
Event sponsors include The Hershey Company and St. Charles Bank and Trust, a Wintrust Corporation, for leading the way as our Gold Sponsors. A Gold Sponsor is a donation of $10,000 for two golf foursomes and a full-page program ad, according to the website.
Those who cannot play in this year’s outing can still contribute by purchasing a hole sponsorship sign, program book advertisement or a chance to win a trip to the 2020 Masters event in Augusta, Ga.
For over 30 years, CASA Kane County has been recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Guardian ad Litem for children in court due to abuse, neglect or private guardianship.
The agency is currently recruiting CASA/GAL volunteers, so those who are interested should call 630-232-4484 to attend one of our upcoming general information meetings.
