To the editor:
It is my understanding that Crown Development has buyers for two warehouse buildings. One has 850,000 sq. ft and the other has 1,000,000 sq. ft. with an estimated property tax revenue for the two buildings combined of $1.7 million by 2023. The $1.7 million revenue will be available to all local taxing bodies. This amount would be reduced by any TIF district agreed between Crown Development and the village of Sugar Grove.
Crown Development is not going to walk away from this property. We can’t miss this chance to have input in how this property is developed, and Sugar Grove must have a say in this development. The village and Crown Development must be equal partners and work together to develop ideas that will be financial beneficial to both.
I know this development will have a great economic and positive impact on the village.
