MAPLE PARK – The Kaneland Foundation will celebrate GivingTuesday on Dec. 3. A news release from Kaneland School District 302 stated that GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that encourages people and organizations to give back to their communities.

For The Kaneland Foundation, GivingTuesday gives families a chance to talk about the district’s values and what they mean, the release stated.

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, the idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

Those who are interested in joining The Kaneland Foundations ’s GivingTuesday initiative can visit foundation.kaneland.org, the release stated. For details about the GivingTuesday movement, visit the GivingTuesday website at www.givingtuesday.org.

The Kaneland Foundation has no administrative costs. Funds raised will support teacher grants.
