BATAVIA – A former Suncast employee is charged with threatening to shoot a security guard at the Batavia business this morning.

Derri N. Enoch Jr., 27, of DeKalb, has been charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. At approximately 6:22 a.m. today, Batavia Police were dispatched to Suncast Corporation at 701 N. Kirk Road for a subject who allegedly had a gun, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.

Enoch, who was a temporary worker at Suncast, allegedly arrived at Suncast and was advised this morning and previously by security guards that he had been fired and that he was no longer allowed on the property, the release stated. He then threatened to shoot the security guard, according to the release.

Following a multi-agency emergency response to the incident, Enoch was taken into custody without incident, the release stated. No gun was ever displayed or located on the scene or found in Enoch's possession, according to the release.
