By the KANE COUNTY CHRONICLE

ADDISON – The St. Charles North girls volleyball team started its season with an exciting come-from-behind victory against Addison Trail on Tuesday night.

The North Stars dropped Game 1, 25-20, before coming back to win convincingly in Games 2 and 3, 25-14 and 25-13. North Stars coach Lindsay Trudell said that it took some time to find the right combination.

“We started off fresh with a new lineup in Game 2, and some of the girls really gave us a boost,” Trudell said.

Trudell had high praise for Allie Van Dril (six kills, two aces), Kari Roberts (17 digs, two aces) and Steph Rasmussen (three kills, four digs).

“Steph Rasmussen is a really solid player out there,” Trudell said. “What she does doesn’t always show up in the box score, but she is a very smart player.”
