Consolidate Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles
To the Editor:
Due to the impact of the recession, I would like to suggest an innovative idea.
Why not consolidate the three Fox Valley cities of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles into one re-branded city? This would have the impact of reducing overall government expenses by upwards of 67 percent. We could consolidate into one school district, one police department, one mayor and other assorted henchman, one library, one post office, etc. We could have fun naming the new town. Perhaps call it Foxburg, Foxville, or how about New Foxborough? If you are a little zany like me, how about St. Elsewhere? That would bring the buses in.
Seriously though, this will never happen because the powers that be would work themselves out of a job with this one.
