Louis Ramirez of Elburn was taking a rest at the Batavia River Walk after a bike ride when Chronicle reporter Brenda Schory caught up to him and asked 10 questions.
Where did you grow up? In St. Charles. I graduated from there, then I moved to Geneva, then Batavia, back to Geneva, now out to Elburn.
Family? My wife and I have a son and daughter from my first marriage and sisters who live in Geneva and St. Charles.
Pets? A 20-year-old gray cat named Shadow.
What's the last song you listened to? "Butter" by Megan McDonough.
Sox, Cubs or Cougars? Cougars.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery? A vacation home.
If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pancakes and bacon.
What's your favorite local restaurant? Batavia's Diner in Batavia.
What's your favorite thing about the community you live in? It's small, and it's quiet.
If you could change one thing about your town, what would it be? I'd cut down on the number of trains that pass through.
