AURORA – Police said six Marmion Academy students were charged with felony criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing in connection with a May 27 vandalism spree that happened at the school, 1000 Butterfield Road, that caused about $2,000 in damage.
Those charged include:
• Benedict J. Fischer, 17, of the 1300 block of Anderson Drive, Batavia.
• Josef H. Weber, 18, of the 200 block of Nicole Drive, South Elgin.
• Kyle Thompson, 18, of the 0-99 block of Larkspur Lane, Bristol.
• Michael J. Rubino, 18, of the 100 block of Schneider Court, North Aurora.
• John T. Baron, 18, of the 1400 block of Keim Trail, St. Charles.
• Robert Hunt, 18, of the 1000 block of Oak Street, St. Charles.
Police said Fischer masterminded the “senior prank” and gave access to dozens of students through a door he knew didn’t lock.
The students threw toilet paper in the hallways and exterior of the school, painted hallways and doorways with various slogans and threw objects they found in lockers, said Dan Ferrelli, spokesman for the Aurora Police Department.
