Geneva Park District announces trips

• Blueberry Bonanza: 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 20. Open to all ages. Youth younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration deadline: Monday. Visit Tammen’s Berry & Tree Farm in Braidwood for all- you- can- pick blueberries. Lunch at the Polk A Dot Restaurant. The trip involves walking on uneven dirt paths. Cost: $35.

• Big Band Cruise: 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 23, Moline.Open to all ages. Youth younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Ride the largest luxury excursion vessel on the upper Mississippi River. This cruise from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. includes lunch buffet and an afternoon snack, the fountain of shrimp. Cost: $91, includes transportation, luncheon, tip and cruise.


• Concert in the Park:5:30 to 11 p.m. July 28, DeKalb. Registration deadline: July 21. Open to all ages. Youth younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. One of the Midwest’s most historical musical organizations, the DeKalb Municipal Band, will perform at Hopkins Park Band Shell. Concert starts at 8:00 pm. Cost: $18, includes concert and bus transportation. The trip is dependent upon weather.

• Mini Golf & Dairy Queen: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5. Registration deadline: Aug. 4. Open to all ages. Youth younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Play 18-holes of mini-golf at Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course at Wheeler Park. Stop at the Dairy Queen on Route 64 on the west side of St. Charles. Cost: $5, mini-golf and van transportation; $3 mini-golf only. To driving on your own, meet at Wheeler Park on Route 31 at 11:15 a.m.
Debbie Reynolds In Concert: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 7, Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace. Open to all ages. Youth younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration deadline: July 17.

• John Deere Legacy: 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13, Moline. Registration deadline: July 23. Open to all ages. Youth younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Visit the John Deere Pavilion, a look at the past, present and future of agribusiness that houses the world’s largest agricultural exhibit, and the John Deere Store, a specialty shop with a variety of John Deere merchandise. Tour the John Deere family homes, the Deere-Wilman House and Butterworth Center. A tour of the John Deere Factory is subject to availability. Children younger than 13 will not be admitted to the John Deere Factory.  Cost: $55,  includes tours and transportation.  Registration deadline: July 23.
