Face time with ... Steve Aghababian of St. Charles as he was walking his dog, Jax, in downtown Geneva while waiting for his daughter to arrive on the train from Chicago, where she has an internship at the Garfield Conservatory.
Where did you grow up? Redford, Mich.
Family: Wife and daughter.
Pets: A border collie named Jax and a striped cat named Tiger.
What’s the last song you listened to? “Close to Champaign” by Los Straitjackets.
Sox, Cubs or Cougars fan? Cubs.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery? Another lottery ticket.
If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Lamb shish-ka-bob and rice pilaf, an Armenian dish.
What’s your favorite local restaurant? Egg Harbor Café for breakfast, I like Nosh for breakfast and I like Niche Restaurant, too.
What’s your favorite thing about the city you live in? It’s small-town friendly.
If you could change one thing about your town, what would it be? Nothing.
Factoid: He has been a member of the Sycamore Lions Club for 10 years. A friend invited him to join the club and if he does not mention the Lions Club, he will have to pay a fine.
