Sugar Grove police investigating rollover accident
SUGAR GROVE – Police are investigating a rollover accident on Route 56 Sunday night that left a man in critical condition.
Bert Lee Olson, 37, of the 300 Block of North Ottawa Ave., Dixon, was in critical but stable condition at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital Monday morning following a crash that occurred at 11 p.m. Sunday.
At 11 pm., a passing motorist who was west bound on Route 56, east of Route 47, reported seeing a pickup truck off the road.
Responding emergency personnel located Olson in the grass approximately 100 feet west of the vehicle. Authorities said that it appeared that he had been ejected from the truck when it rolled over.
Olson was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora and then to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
