‘Twelve Angry Jurors’

ABOUT: Batavia High School will present an updated version of the classic play, “Twelve Angry Men,” The play will be directed by Josh Casburn and feature two casts.

WHEN: The cast for the shows today and Saturday will be different from the cast on Friday and Sunday. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

‘The Lion in Winter’

ABOUT: Presented by Albright Theatre Company. King Henry II struggles with his estranged wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine, over which one of their three sons will inherit the English throne. This cunning tale of manipulation and murderous plots is rife with humor.

‘Red, White & You!’

ABOUT: The annual fundraiser for Elgin Children’s Chorus, will feature wine tasting and gourmet appetizers. The silent auction will offer original art work, Thomas toys, tickets to performances, a Tastefully Simple basket and more.

U.S. Open Brass Band Championships

Fred Garbo Inflatable Theatre

Provena Geneva Care Center’s Fall Fun Fest

ABOUT: Proceeds will be used to benefit patients and the center ministry. Wheel chairs, interactive games and off-site activities have been financed by prior fun fests. The live auction will include a week-long stay on Nantucket Island. Nicholas Odman and disc jockey  Bob Kerns will provide entertainment.

WHEN: Saturday; doors open at 4:30 p.m.; an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m.; a silent auction of hundreds of items will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

ABOUT: The event will mark the closing of Geneva History Center’s “Faces of War” exhibit. A disc jockey will spin Big Band music of the 1940s, refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to wear 1940s garb. Space is limited.
