North boys volleyball remains unbeaten

ST. CHARLES – Pat Misiewicz had 25 assists and Ryan Dal Degan had 12 digs to help the St. Charles North boys volleyball team defeat Maine South, 25-14, 29-27, on Monday.

It was North’s first victory against the traditional power since the program’s inception in 2001. The North Stars improved to 6-0.

“We’re extremely excited. I tell you what, we are on cloud nine right now and feeling pretty good,” North coach Todd Weimer said. “I told the guys to make sure they enjoy this win but also to know tomorrow is a brand new day.”

North’s Johnathan Orech added eight kills.

East badminton drops close match on road

WHEATON – The St. Charles East badminton team lost, 8-7, at Wheaton North, losing three of the five matches that required three games.

Vicki Banas, Victoria Cardona and Caroline Sheehan were double winners for the Saints.
