Anthony Rubino

Anthony RubinoSchool: St. Charles East High School
Sport: Wrestling


Anthony is a 4 year starter for the Saints wrestling team. He currently is 10 wins shy of the Saints all time win record with his 142 varsity wins. He earned  All State honors after placing 5th place in 2015. He is currently one of the top ranked wrestlers at 126 lbs.  Anthony has committed to wrestle at Northern Illinois University next year.

Austin Macias

Austin MaciasSchool: Burlington Central
Sport: Wrestling


Austin Macias is a Sophomore with a record of  26-1 and he currently holds the school record for wins in a single season. This spring, he was a Greco State Champion. Austin took 2nd Place at Freestyle State.  This season Austin has reached the finals in four tournaments, winning three of them. He currently leads the team in Take Downs and Pins . Austin works hard on and off the mat and is considered a team leader.

Bethany Orman

Bethany OrmanSchool: Batavia High School
Sport: Girls Basketball


Batavia Girls Basketball is currently 18-5 on the season. Bethany Orman is averaging 4.5 assists per game.  She just reached 105 total assists on the season with a 9 assist performance at Elgin.  As a point guard, Bethany also is 2nd on our team in rebounding, and she leads our team in steals. Bethany is an outstanding student and leader for our school.  She is a captain on our team for the second year in a row.

Claire Jakaitis

Claire  JakaitisSchool: St. Charles North High School
Sport: Girls Basketball


Claire Jakaitis  just became the fourth St. Charles North girls basketball in history to reach 1000 points on February 3rd against Streamwood.  She has averaged 15 points a game and 7 rebounds for the season.  Earlier this season Claire signed her Division one letter of intent to play basketball at University of Loyola at Maryland.  She is only the third girl in North history to receive a full scholarship to a division one university!

John Zupke

John ZupkeSchool: Geneva High School
Sport: Boys Bowling


John Zupke, a Geneva High School senior, was all conference in bowling. He averaged over 200 for the season, qualified for sectionals and missed state by just 30 pins.

Ryan David

Ryan DavidSchool: Kaneland High School
Sport: Boys Basketball


After some early-season struggles, David has become one of the most consistent scorers on Kaneland. He highlighted his good stretch with a 28-point, 14-rebound, five-block performance in the Knights' win over Rochelle recently. David has made over 40-percent of his 3-point shots this season and close to 80-percent of his free throws.

Teagen Pompa

Teagen PompaSchool: South Elgin High School
Sport: Girls Basketball


Teagen is a Junior with South Elgin's Girl's Basketball team which finished as the Christmas Riverside all tournament team. Teagen averaged 15 points for the month and made 7 3's in one game vs. St. Eds. finishing w/ 25 points in a 82-39 victory.
