East hires Haskins as baseball coach

St. Charles East athletic director Jerry Krieg on Tuesday announced the hiring of Dave Haskins as baseball coach. He replaces Mark Foulkes, who resigned in May after six seasons.

Haskins spent the past two seasons at Prairie Ridge, compiling a 61-16 record while helping the Wolves to the IHSA Class 4A state title in 2008.

"His resume is impressive," Krieg said, "and we're excited to have him on board."

Krieg said Haskins will remain a PE teacher at the Sedom Center in Woodstock next school year but hopes to add him to the faculty "sometime down the line."
