Scofield to play soccer for Irish

Geneva High junior Sammy Scofield will play her college soccer at Notre Dame, Scofield confirmed to the Chronicle on Monday night.

Scofield, who made the decision on Wednesday, chose Notre Dame over Clemson and Rutgers. Scofield is a year-round club soccer player, though she does play basketball for the Vikings.
