“Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?”
The Freshman and Sophomore classes at Huntley High School, under the direction of Mr. Steve Sturm, invite you to experience this hilarious musical presentation based on the novel by John R. Powers, with music and lyrics by James Quinn and Alaric Jans.
The story of “Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?” set in the 1950s involves the lives of eight Chicago children, following them through Catholic school from the start of elementary school through the senior prom and beyond.
The main focus is on late-blooming Eddie Ryan and chubby Becky Barkowski, who become best friends, fall in love, and then go their separate ways when Becky decides to join a convent.
Shows are November 18 & 19 and 20 at 7:00 pm. With a 5:00 show on November 21
Tickets are $6.00 for seniors, students, and staff, and $8.00 for adults. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.district158.org/pac. Performances will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley, IL 60142.
