Curtis & original music by Frances Mai-Ling Dog Sees God is an unauthorized parody of a popular comic strip, however, in this play the kids are grown up and in high school. This dramedy (mix between drama and comedy) tackles important and relevant themes that have recently made top news headlines including: bullying, gay rights, and teen suicide, among others. For more information on the show and a source for the following synopsis, please visit Dramatists Play Service here: http://www.dramatists.com/cgi-bin/db/single.asp?key=3754 About the show: "When CB's dog dies from rabies, CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give any sort of solace. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion, and sexual identity collide and careen towards an ending that's both haunting and helpful." "DOG SEES GOD has not been authorized or approved in any manner by the Charles M. Schulz Estate or United Features Syndicate, which have no responsibility for its content."
