Rebekahs 5th Anniversary Celebration hosted by Theater Undreground
The Minnehaha Rebekah Lodge #77, a faction of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows*, is celebrating their 5th anniversary with an "Open to the Public" evening of dinner theater hosted by Theater Undreground. A portion of their proceeds will benefit the Richmond Food Pantry. For one night only,Theater Undreground will be performing an adult only (18 & older) evening of Improv Comedy preceded by a pasta dinner and cocktails. Here's how Theater Undreground describes the 2 kinds of improv shows they will feature: First - we'll start the show with some good old fashion Murder Mystery Improv ("good" and "old fashion" are used only for cliché purposes). We'll make up a scene, make up a murder, a motive—I'm pretty sure chickens will be involved. Or will they? "It was Professor Whaddyawantmetosay, in the crapper, with the beak of a chicken...." Oh boy, this might be weird, which is why we have a #2. Second - after a short "fill up your drink" intermission, we'll bring it back old school and just do the type of improv that has made Theater Undreground something just above not famous. Something worthy of #2. Doh! That didn't sound right. Okay, moving on. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be going to the Richmond Food Pantry, an all volunteer-run pantry that provides food for the needy year round. Though it's not required, guests attending the benefit are encouraged to bring a canned food item for the Richmond Food Pantry.
