Alejandro Garcia, 28, of Elgin Township, was charged with felony destruction of evidence and possession of approximately 35 grams of marijuana. He also was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without a firearm owner's identification card, and endangering a child.
The charges against the above individuals are not a proof of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the state’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
