CHARLES – St. Charles North senior pitcher Jake Johansmeier won a dramatic battle against pesky Batavia shortstop Billy Zwick, who fouled off several consecutive pitches before striking out with the bases loaded Wednesday to end a 1-0 Upstate Eight Conference River baseball win for the North Stars.
The St. Charles North boys lacrosse team is on a roll after suffering through a slow start to the season.
