How would you like a private 30-minute concert performed by the ESO’s Brass Quintet at the location of your choice? Or breakfast and coffee for four with ESO Music Director Andrew Grams at Domini Cafe in downtown Elgin?
Join Andrew Grams, ESO musicians and staff, and other supporters on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm for a Musical Masquerade Event and Auction. The Anvil Club in East Dundee, IL will host the event. “This wonderful private dinner club has an outdoor veranda, a warm atmosphere, and lots of character,” said Cheryl Wendt, Chief Development Officer for the ESO. “It’s a beautiful location for our fundraiser.”
Guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress in black tie or masquerade attire, and will enjoy delicious appetizers, live music by Jess and Joe, a masquerade photo booth, and both a silent and a live auction. Piece-A-Cake Bakery in East Dundee will provide delicious desserts.
“We use Gesture, an online bidding platform, for guests to bid on auction items,” explained Wendt. “They can monitor the bidding on their smartphone or tablet. We’ll provide bidding buddies to assist anyone not comfortable with technology.” Supporters unable to attend the event can also place bids online.
The auction items will include one-of-a-kind experiences that you can’t get anywhere else. “Our musicians donate their time and talents to offer incredible experiences for our supporters,” said Wendt. “For example, cellist Elizabeth Start will compose an original cello solo for you. She’ll perform it at your home or event and will provide you with a CD. You can also bid on a trumpet/piano recital in your home (if you own a piano), a private plane ride and lunch in Lake Geneva, and the chance to play the triangle in one of the ESO’s concerts.” To buy tickets or get the online auction information, please visit http://www.elginsymphony.org/concert/musical-masquerade-fundraiser/.
