Holiday Treats that are not so Nice

SPONSORED

With the holidays are fast approaching.  It is time for cookies, candies, pies, cake, and holiday cheer.  But when was the last time you saw the dentist?   Or when you were in to see them, did they recommend treatment, but you decided to put it off?

Now it is the holidays and you have no time and besides everything is feeling just fine.  Then one of those busy days come and you are eating and having fun until you bite down on something and crunch, a tooth breaks.  It always happens at the worst possible moment.

Now your fun times are not so fun.  You have a jagged tooth that is cutting your tongue because you cannot stop playing with it or worse you are now in pain.  When you are in pain you are no fun to be around and you do not want to be around anybody.  Then, you are thinking when am I going to find the time to get to the dentist to fix your broken tooth?  You have work, family parties, work parties, children’s activities and now you need to fit another appointment into the schedule.  Furthermore, if you are part of the 55% of the population that has dental insurance.  You are paying for dental insurance to help you with the cost of fixing your tooth, but did you know that most insurance policies have an annual maximum benefit and if you do not use it then you lose it at the end of the year.  The adage of an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

To schedule an appointment please call our team at Dr. Ronald A. Murphy at 630-879-7642.
