The second weekend in September will be a busy one in Geneva, when the annual Festival of the Vine returns. In addition to enjoying the flower market, the arts & crafts show, and live musical entertainment, visitors can visit FoxFire Restaurant, at 17 W. State Street, for its second Hopp on the Vine event.
"We're hosting our second Hopp on the Vine on Saturday, September 8th from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm," said Samantha Donovan, Event Coordinator for FoxFire Restaurant. "Our first event of this kind, which we held last June, was fabulous - it was so fun and successful that we decided to host another one during Geneva's Festival of the Vine."
Hopp on the Vine is a creatively planned affair that features representatives from local craft breweries and boutique vintners. "We had such a great time at the first Hopp on the Vine speaking with reps from the breweries and wineries," explained Donovan. "We received terrific feedback from the attendees. One said, "This was such a great event - if you do it again, we'll definitely be here". Another said, "We loved tasting all the delicious wines, and we bought a few bottles to take home"."
The cost per person is $40, or $45 at the door; tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 630-232-1369. "The ticket price includes a large variety of craft beer and wine tastings, and we'll provide cheese and charcuterie platters placed at different stations so guests can cleanse their palates. We'll also offer a customized FoxFire wine glass for attendees to take home after the event. And of course, the beer and wine can be purchased and taken home."
A sampling of the vendors that will be on hand at FoxFire's Hopp on the Vine special event includes Guinness, Langunitas, Penrose, Elevage Wines, and Louis Glunz Winery, among many others. Spots are limited, so call today! For more information, please contact:
