Enjoying a beautiful evening on an outdoor patio is a great way to relax on a busy day or during a long week.
We are lucky here at the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce to have several businesses with picturesque patios or small outdoor seating areas that you should definitely take advantage of in these warmer months.
Some of our members with outdoor seating include Claddagh, Cooper’s Hawk, Country House, Filling Station Pub & Grill, Global Brew Tap House, McNally’s, Old Towne Pub Wasco, Preservation Bread & Wine, Pub 47, The Office Dining & Spirits, Townhouse Books, Salsa Verde, Spotted Fox, Tap House and Vintage 53.
The St. Charles Chamber will have its July Networking on the Patio mixer at The Office Dining & Spirits from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 19. This wonderful summer event, hosted by the Women’s Business Council, will have appetizers and a cash bar.
Through monthly raffles, the WBC raises money to make contributions to three chamber member nonprofit charities each year.
This year it has contributed to Celebrate Differences and is looking forward to donating to Project Mobility and Tri City Health Partnership to finish 2017.
This year at Networking on the Patio, the Batavia Chamber of Commerce also will be participating in the event. It will be a great opportunity to connect with business owners.
Have you been to downtown St. Charles during the summer evenings? There is something going on almost every night of the week! The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is again holding STC Live!, which is live performances and music at different venues around town on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. And the Concerts in the Park program at the Lincoln Park gazebo – hosted by the St. Charles Park District – has begun. Its schedule of bands will continue Thursday evenings beginning at 7 p.m. until Aug. 17. Grab blankets and chairs and head to these venues to enjoy these musical acts.
Come cruise downtown St. Charles on the fourth Tuesday of the month – June 27, July 25, Aug. 22 and Sept. 26 – from 5 to 8 p.m. for a blast to the past as car collectors enjoy sharing their cars and car stories with other enthusiasts during Cruise Nites. It is free to enter a car. We invite everyone to Riverside Avenue between Main Street and Illinois Avenue for the event. Please enter on Walnut and South Second avenues, on the east side of the Fox River. Non-car owners can bring the family out to see some cruisin’ classics. Cruise Nites offers spectators the opportunity to mingle and learn about classic car culture and historical automotive heritage.
