Truitt Battin, St. Charles East, senior, forward: Battin is easily one of the most decorated varsity players in the area. A two-time all conference selection, Battin finished with 36 career goals, nine assists and finished as a regional champion his senior season. Battin has aspirations to play soccer professionally overseas.Matt Beaulieu, St. Charles North, senior, forward: Beaulieu was a clear bright spot for a North Stars team re-tooling after its' state appearance last season. He finished with 12 goals and 11 assists on the season for a team that made a regional finals appearance.Jack Belloli, Geneva, senior, midfield: A team MVP, all conference selection and all-sectional honorable mention, Belloli scored four goals. but Geneva coach Jason Bhatta said his "impact was much greater than statistics show." "Our organization as a defensive unit was all set up by his intelligence on and off the ball."Gavin Cano, Kaneland, junior, defense: The all-sectional and all-conference selection helped anchor a backline en route to a regional finals appearance. Cano finished with six goals and four assists.Sean Conley, St. Francis, senior, midfielder: A Metro Suburban All Conference selection, Conley scored nine goals and five assists. Conley was also named Chicago Catholic League All Conference last year, and finished his career with 17 goals and 20 assists. Conley played varsity for four years.Nicholas Gulli, St. Francis, senior, midfielder: Gulli, a Metro Suburban All Conference selection, finished his career with 14 goals and 21 assists after a six goal, nine assist senior season. Gulli was Chicago Catholic League All Conference last season and played varsity for four years.Tucker Jahns, Kaneland, junior, forward: Jahns was a highly prolific scorer for the Knights, striking 31 goals and six assists. Jahns set the school record for goals in a season, and was an all-conference and all-sectional selection.Adler Palos, Batavia senior, midfielder: Palos was a steady force for the Bulldogs, and helped Batavia upset St. Charles North in the regular season. Palos finished with two goals and seven assists.Tristan Samuelian, Burlington Central, sophomore, goalie Samuelian was named Team MVP, and made 132 saves in 16 games started for the Rockets who made a regional semifinals appearance.James Serrano, Marmion, senior, forward: The Kane County Chronicle boys Soccer Player of the Year, Serrano scored 31 goals and eight assists en route to helping lead Marmion to a supersectionals appearance. Serrano was named the Chicago Catholic League Player of the Year, had six games with a hat trick and named All-sectional.Jack Settle, St. Charles East, junior, goalie: Settle was a huge asset to the regional finals-winning Saints, shutting out both Glenbard East and St. Charles North. Settle, in 11 games played, had three shutouts.
