BATAVIA- Many folks have a love affair with coffee, and Water Street Studios in Batavia is celebrating the popular beverage at its monthly Live Art Series. January's program, "I Heart Coffee," is from 6 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 25.
According to a news release from Water Street Studios, humans have been telling stories over coffee for over 500 years, and the Live Art Series will honor that tradition by inviting some local professionals to share their stories about their experiences with coffee.
Participants include Eric Anderson of Fresh Ground Roasting in Geneva, Dan Colbert from Zoom Doggy Coffee in North Aurora, Chad Dawes from Tredwell Coffee in Aurora, Marcus and Jenni Contaldo from Modest Coffee in West Chicago, Leah Leman and Joy Mason from Limestone Coffee & Tea in Batavia, Sarah Harris from Kindred Coffee Roasters in West Chicago, Pete Leonard from I Have a Bean in Wheaton and Cody Lorance from Endiro Coffee in Aurora.
Seating is limited to 70. Tickets are $7.50 during online presale or $10 at the door. All proceeds go to support the continuation of arts programming at Water Street Studios. Doors and cocktail hour are at 6 p.m., followed by the performance at 7 p.m. Enjoy a cash bar featuring beverages provided by Solemn Oath Brewery and Whiskey AcresDistilling Co.

The Live Art Series is a monthly live art performance exploring a variety of art forms including music, film, dance, storytelling, and more, and is funded by the Batavia Arts Council.
