Forest Preserve District of Kane County to host 'Wildlife Signs and Tracking' program

Program is Jan. 26 in St. Charles

GENEVA- Enjoy the beauty of nature in the winter at the Forest Preserve District of Kane County's Wildlife Signs & Tracking program from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 26 at Creek Bend Nature Center in LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.

According to a news release, there are many kinds of animals that brave the Illinois winter, the program will introduce participants to wildlife tracking, followed by a hike to apply what was learned in the presentation. The program will explore the habits and behaviors of native wildlife by the signs they leave.

This program is for ages 8 and above and children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required and the fee is $5 per person. Call 630-444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
