Following an early Hilltoppers score, Palmer knocked in a three. Montgomery followed with two consecutive treys and then Lindsay Blackmore, who scored 10 points, hit a jumper to pull the Vikings within 31-30 with 2:55 left in the third quarter. Navigato gave Geneva the lead on a jumper and Palmer added another layup to go up three.
"That was a great team win," said Montgomery, who finished with nine points, all on three-pointers. "I had space, I shot the ball and it went in. I just felt this momentum, and I was like: 'This is the time and place; let's get it done. It's a regional [final] on our home court. Winning this means everything; this is great."
Maggie Stutelberg's three to knot it at 34-34 ended a roughly five-minute Glenbard West scoring drought. Stutelberg finished with six points and seven rebounds.
