Earlier, St. Charles East junior Joey Scimeca won the diving competition with a career-best 554.50.
"It was a lot of help from my teammates," Scimeca said. "I was having a frustrating week, a little off. I focused on the fact that I will not hit every dive. One dive I was having trouble with, a gainer two and a half, that was a big jump for me. I've been either going in on my stomach or going on my back, luckily today I came right on my head."
Scimeca, 37th as a freshman at state and seventh last year, is ready for his third state trip.
"Excited to say the least," Scimeca said.
Other sectional champions included North's Ricky Williams in the 200 freestyle (1:43.24), East's Connor Drury in the 50 freestyle and North's Srboljub Filipovic in the 100 backstroke (51.65).
