Blackmore, an all-conference selection, averaged 17.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. [Sean King for Shaw Media]Ashley DiOrio, St. Charles East, senior, guard: An all-conference selection, DiOrio led the Saints through a re-tooling season. DiOrio averaged 8.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists. [Sandy Bressner - firstname.lastname@example.org]Erin Golden, Batavia, junior, guard: Golden, a repeat all-area selection, averaged 13.5 points and nearly eight rebounds per game for the Bulldogs. Golden was named all-conference. [Karen Naess for Shaw Media]Emma Ludwig, St. Charles North, freshman, guard: Ludwig was pressed into the starting lineup as a freshman and produced at a high level. An all-conference selection, Ludwig averaged 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds 3.0 assists and 2 per game, and shot 34 percent from 3-point range. But her impact was felt strongly on the defensive end of the floor, corralling a team-high 5.8 rebounds and nearly three steals. [Sandy Bressner - email@example.com]Kate Palmer, Geneva, sophomore, guard: Palmer assumed the starting point guard role as a sophomore and became an all conference selection. Palmer averaged 10.2 points, 1.5 made three pointers and nearly 70 percent from the free throw line through Feb. 12. [Karen Naess for Shaw Media]Kat Schmidt, Burlington Central, junior, forward: Schmidt, a repeat all-area selection, passed 1,000 career points early in the season. Despite battling injuries, Schmidt averaged 14.6 points per game and nearly six rebounds per game. [Karen Naess for Shaw Media]Ava Sergio, Batavia, senior, forward: The Winona commit commanded tons of defensive attention and she still thrived for 13.2 points per game and nearly five rebounds per game. Sergio was named all-conference. [Sean King for Shaw Media]Annie Tate, St. Charles North, senior, forward: An all conference selection, Tate led the North Stars with 13.4 points per game and nearly seven rebounds. Tate is committed to Wheaton College. [Sean King for Shaw Media]Elana Wells, Burlington Central, sophomore, guard: One of the dominant guards in the area, Wells helped lead the Rockets to a share of the Kishwaukee River Conference title. Wells averaged 13.6 points per game, four assists and nearly four steals.
