St. Charles Chamber of Commerce to present program about effects of recreational marijuana legalization on employers, communities

ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce and Northwestern Medicine are partnering on a presentation about the impact that marijuana legalization has had on other states at 8 a.m. April 23 at the City Council Chamber, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles.

Presenters Ann Marie Andexler, government and legislative affairs coordinator at Northwestern Medicine West Region and Allison Johnson, LCOC, manager of business and program development at Behavioral Health at Central DuPage and Delnor Hospitals, will explain the impact recreational marijuana could have on consumer safety, crime, employers and the workplace, stated revenue, health, youth and more.

They will also discuss what to watch for regarding use in the work environment and the many types and forms of marijuana products that are being sold legally and illegally.
