Kane County Farm Bureau to host annual Touch-A-Tractor

The farm-city community event to be held in St. Charles April 12-14

ST. CHARLES – The Kane County Farm Bureau will host the 14th annual Touch-A-Tractor event April 12-14 on the front lawn of the Kane County Farm Bureau, 2N710 Randall Road, St. Charles.

The family-friendly event features antique tractors, as well as modern farming equipment, and children can ride a pedal truck. Kids can also hold a baby duck and visit a petting zoo, shell corn, play games and more.

The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. April 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14. Tickets are $2 per adult and $5 per family. Those who purchase a Winner's Choice Raffle ticket will get in free. Proceeds benefit the Kane County Farm Bureau Foundation, which provides ag literacy and scholarship programs. The farm bureau will recognize 19 college scholarship reciepients for 2019-2020 at 3 p.m. April 14.                        

Attendees are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry. The grand prize winner in the raffle will choose from a 1966 Ford 100 pick-up, or a 1956 Massey Harris Model 333 tractor, or $3,500 in cash.

Second prize is $500 in groceries and third prize is $500 in fuel. The Winner’s Choice Raffle is the primary fundraiser for KCFB Foundation college scholarships.  The winner will be drawn on July 21 at the Kane County Fair.
