ST. CHARLES – It's time to mark calendars for the second annual Fox River Arts Ramble, a two-day, self-guided tour April 13 and 14 at 50 venues between Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and Elgin.
The event is a collaborative effort of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, the St. Charles Arts Council and Water Street Studios in Batavia, identified as Fox River Arts, according to a news release. Tours take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with some evening musical performances and receptions planned. The Ramble encompasses studios, galleries, art schools, museums, public art venues and creative spaces.
The event offers an eclectic array of attractions. The Aurora Regional Fire Museum will present the first public exhibition of the National EMS Museum, featuring art from the museum's vault. "The Art of Emergency Care" will begin its tour at the Aurora museum, running until Nov. 15. Pieces chronicle the story of first aid in the home, advertisements and the EMS profession (auroraregionalfiremuseum.org).
