ABOUT: Garfield Farm Museum will offer a Woodland Wildflower Walk, led by Jerome Johnson, museum biologist, who will identify species and discuss the history of the land and the impact of restoration methods. Participants should wear appropriate clothing, insect repellent and walking shoes. Next, Kenneth Carlson will talk about how railroads and Kane County impacted the development and growth of northeastern Illinois. He is a volunteer at the Spring Valley Heritage Farm in Schaumburg, who grew up in a farm town with a railroad family.
