Allen visits Batavia to hand the keys to Marine Cpl. Kyle Moser

BATAVIA –Kyle Moser has a brand-new Batavia home, tailored to his needs and holding the promise of a bright future.

There have been some dark times for Moser, who suffered life-changing injuries in 2011 while serving in Afghanistan as a corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Moser lost both legs and received a serious injury to his right hand. After a lengthy stay at Walter Reed Medical Center, Moser was forced to confront the reality that use of prosthetic legs would not be possible.

“That was hard to work through,” Moser said.
