Radio-control drone targets will be part of the fundraiser for Paralyzed Veterans of America.

SOUTH ELGIN – The Vaughan Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America plans a trapshooting benefit that will include a public opportunity to fire at remote-control drones at about 1 p.m. June 1 at White Gates Skeet Club in South Elgin.

Anyone can participate in all the events or just one, a news release stated. To be entered in the raffle, one must register in advance for the June 1 doubles event. Drone shooting starts after that day's doubles event.

Various veterans groups are expected to attend, and Marmion students will sing the national anthem at 9 a.m. during the chapter's two-day event June 1 and 2.

The private White Gates Skeet Club is at 7N239 Route 25. To register, call 630-204-2015 or email vpva@vaughanpva.org. For more information, go to www.vaughanpva.org.
