Downers Grove legion booth at Rotary GroveFest to accept worn flags for disposal

DOWNERS GROVE – A way to properly dispose of worn or torn U.S. flags will be available at Rotary GroveFest thanks to an effort by the local American Legion post.

The organization will have a booth at the festival from noon to 10 p.m. June 21 to 23, announced Alexander Bradley Burns American Legion Post 80. It will be located near the information center by the intersection of Main Street and Burlington.

One also can enter a raffle to win a new flag and learn about American Legion student scholarships, veterans benefits and various programs. The worn flags will be properly retired at a bonfire ceremony.
