Two rob Batavia liquor store with bat in hand

BATAVIA – Police are searching for two suspects in the June 12 armed robbery of a Batavia liquor store.

An employee at the K&L Liquors & Pantry, 1351 Wind Energy Pass, reported to police that two male subjects, dressed in black and wearing ski masks, entered the business at about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday evening. One subject was carrying a baseball bat, according to the employee.

They demanded an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and a bottle of liquor. The employee complied.

Suspects are described as about 5’6” tall and weighing about 160 pounds. No further description was available.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contect the Batavia Police Department investigations Unit at 630-454-2500.
