ST. CHARLES – Fox Valley filmmaker Noah Way will host a free screening of his first independent feature film, "Rink," at 7 p.m. July 1 at the Arcada Theatre in downtown St. Charles.
The comedy/drama was released on Amazon Prime in May, and was filmed in and around the Fox Valley area.
It is written and directed by Noah Way, who also stars in the movie, along with Zach Honer and local favorites Anne Keen and Scott Mackay, morning show radio host at the Aurora-based FM 95.9 The River.
The film centers on Finn, a small-town misfit who pursues his passion of becoming an expert roller skater, when he enters himself in a local competition. But after the rink he trains at closes, Finn and his friends must find a way to open it back up again.
The screening will feature a Q&A with the cast following the film. Shown that night will be a never before seen director’s cut of the movie. The screening is sponsored by Rise Out and 360 Flavor & Spice of Geneva.
