RIVER PARK HOME TO TWO JULY CONCERT SERIES

WHEN: 7 p.m. each Wednesday in July by Park District and 6 p.m. each Sunday by Cultural Arts Commission, offering Sunday indoor option in inclement weather

ABOUT: Appearing July 7 will be the Illinois Brass Band playing Broadway, marches and pop, followed July 14 by Alibi playing classic rock and Motown favorites; July 21 by The MacCartyns offering rock harmonies from the late 1960s; and July 28 by Northside Brass musicians who have performed with such artists as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera. The Wednesday series kicks off July 10 with the country hits of June's Got the Cash, followed by The Saturday June Band, Mr. Myers for a tropical beat and The StingRays for vintage rock. On Wednesdays, food will be available from Deane’s Market and Deli, and there will be a beer tent featuring local brews from Solemn Oath Brewery.
