GENEVA – Geneva Commons is hosting its fourth annual Girls Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 at the shopping center, located on Randall Road at Williamsburg Avenue in Geneva, according to a news release.
The one-night premier shopper appreciation event, which will take place on The Green gathering area at the outdoor lifestyle center, will feature complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, sweets, swag bags, raffle prizes and entertainment.
The goal is to provide women an opportunity to unwind, shop, and enjoy time with their girlfriends in a welcoming social environment.
Property manager Cathy Charhut stated in the release that the purpose of the event is to give attention to women after their kids are back in school.
“I’m a mother too, so I know how busy summer breaks can be for moms,” Charhut stated in the release. “This is a chance for them to be on the receiving end, to get together with their girlfriends and let their hair down for a few hours. Plus it’s a great opportunity for shopping, dining and grownup play while the weather’s still warm.”
Girls Night Out is free and open to the public.
Upon arrival, guests will check in at the registration table and receive a drink ticket good for one complimentary cocktail at a choice of three restaurant stations, plus a raffle entry form and an event flyer with store offers.
They will also get and a swag bag while supplies last.
Hors d’oeuvres from Bar Louie, Houlihan’s, and California Pizza Kitchen and treats from the Corner Bakery Café will be available, the release stated.
They can visit The Marketplace, featuring product samples, demonstrations, pampering, and fashion, health and beauty advice from retailers.
The event includes a lip reader, henna artists, caricatures, DJ music and two live shows by the improv group Laugh Out Loud.
Event goers can take advantage of exclusive savings and offers on shopping and dining at many of Geneva Commons stores and restaurants.
The evening will end with raffle drawings for a host of prizes, including five $200 Geneva Commons shopping sprees, plus merchandise and gift cards from retailers.
