• A black 2006 Toyota Four Runner SUV was reported stolen Aug. 18 from the 5N500 block of Hidden Springs Drive, Campton Township. According to reports, the owner brought in groceries and forgot her car keys and purse inside the SUV.
• Vladislav S. Soukup, 22, of the 100 block of Washburn Street, Elgin, was charged Aug. 29 with reckless driving.
• Landscaping and tree trimming tools valued at $6,825 were reported stolen Sept. 2 from a work truck parked in the 7N400 block of Route 25, St. Charles Township. Thieves broke into the locked truck, possibly using a crowbar, reports stated. Items taken included four chainsaws, a blower, a trimmer, rope, a tree climbing spike and a tree climber saddle.
• A resident of the 35W400 block of Lambert Avenue, St. Charles Township, reported July 23 that someone had put pieces of chicken with a nail in it in his yard and by a fence. The resident was concerned that someone was trying to hurt his dog, reports stated.
