GLEN ELLYN – DuPage Woodworkers will present a program on how to make Christmas ornaments at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 in Glen Ellyn.

The monthly meeting will be held at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church at 480 S. Park Blvd. The group's program gatherings normally are held each third Monday of the month at St. James, member Keith Rosche of Wheaton said.

This month's presenter will be club member Roy Galbraith. His demonstration will follow a short meeting and coffee and cookies.

The club welcomes new members of all skill levels. Among its projects is a holiday toy-making effort, which resulted in some of the group's 180 members making 2,300 toys for donation to charities in DuPage and Kane counties last holiday season, according to Rosche.

Crafting toys for charities, visiting members' woodworking shops, attending wood shows in Milwaukee and Iowa City, and sponsoring a tool auction are some of the events organized by the group throughout the year.
